Instagram has recently introduced a new feature called ‘profile song’, which aims to enhance the customization of user profiles. This feature allows users to add a specific song to their profile that reflects their mood or preferences. The platform offers a wide selection of licensed songs that can be added to user profiles.

To kick off the launch of the profile song feature, Instagram has partnered with US-based singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter. A teaser of her upcoming song “Taste” will be included in the list of tracks available for users to add to their profiles. According to Instagram, the selected song will be displayed on the user’s profile until they choose to change it.

To set up the profile song feature on Instagram, users can simply go to their Profile tab, select “Edit profile”, and tap on “Add music to your profile”. They can then search for their favorite song or explore the “For You” section to choose a song and select the clip duration for their profile. Users have the option to choose a 30-second clip of the song to showcase on their profile.

While the profile song feature was verified on Instagram for Android devices by Gadgets 360 staff members, it was not yet available on the iOS app at the time. This new feature builds upon several recent media-related updates introduced by Instagram. In July, Instagram introduced a multi-audio tracks feature for Instagram Reels, allowing users to add up to 20 tracks to a single Reel. Users can also customize the audio with text, stickers, clips, and more, and save the edited Reel with attribution to the creator.

Overall, Instagram’s new profile song feature offers users a creative way to personalize their profiles and share their favorite music with their followers. By collaborating with artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Instagram continues to enhance the user experience and provide new ways for users to express themselves on the platform.
